Having an old wreck on the drive may not fit with first impression in this neighborhood. Close enough to London for easy access, but far enough to be away from the city.
My Johnston sold his For Fiesta to a breaker yard who was prepared to travel to Maidenhead. Everything went well, was collected on time, paperwork and money transferred to bank account. The engine was still in good order but its gearbox was no longer selecting 4th gear and was now no longer economical to repair, so offering the vehicle to be recycled and get some form of payment, seemed a good solution.
